These days keeping stars in films is not just enough, there should be a good story which is very important. There are many films which turned failures in the absence of a good story despite the presence of a huge star cast. Take the Bollywood films for example. They are totally depending on stories. The artistes too are keeping away their star image and are just remaining as an artiste in a character and part of the story. Films like ‘Om Shanti Om and Luck by Chance’ stand best examples for this. It appears our Tollywood is emulating their Mumbai counterparts. Star heroes like Venkatesh and Nagarjuna had completed their films long ago and they were released and are running successfully. However, none of them went to sets again so far. They reportedly telling the directors and producers that they would sign only if they bring a subject with substance. They had also plans to opt for multi-starrers, guest roles in films if the story really demands the presence of a hero of their stature.
Prince Mahesh Babu who will be seen on the screen after more than one and a half years has already begun shuffling the titles. Apparently, his next venture was titled 'Varudu' but now there is news that the makers are planning to go for a change since there are quite a number of violence scenes in the movie and the title sounds too sugary. The film is directed by Trivikram Srinivas so let us see what happens to 'Varudu' now.

What Malaika found truly weird was the complete absence of interaction with her leading man during the dance. "When I danced with Shah Rukh Khan in 'Dil Se' and 'Kaal', we were dancing together. With Mahesh there was absolutely no interaction even though we were dancing on the same set. "He was playing the unattainable Adonis and I was the dancer. I found it hilarious. Mahesh said all of five words to me during the entire shooting. But, let me add, he's a thorough gentleman." Malaika requested the team for a more interactive dance.
"But I was told this is the way it is in the south. So I just did my work. It was nevertheless fun and worth it because I did it for a friend. I never thought I'd dance in a regional film. Namrata said they needed me to do a song and dance. I thought I wouldn't be able to mouth those Telugu words. But Namrata convinced me. It was ages since I had met her. I told her the entire team including the choreographer was unknown to me, and I wouldn't be comfortable. And to me being comfortable in what I do is very important. She told me to just relax and promised to be there for me. When I heard the track, I found it very cool."

After a photoshoot conducted on Mahesh and Parvatii recently, she was finally okayed by the team for the coveted main lead.
The tall and curvaceous beauty Parvati Melton made her debut in Vennela and went on to do many movies as the main heroine but was not able to bag big movies. This is the first time that she is paired opposite a big hero like Mahesh Babu.
In Trivikram’s earlier film, Jalsa, she was one of the leads and did a hit number with Pawan too.
And this is her big ticket to stardom. Trivikram is starting the film’s regular shoot from September 3rd. It is produced by S. Ramesh on Kanakaratna Movies banner. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music.
Superstar Rajnikanth's daughter Soundarya is now running her own studio, Ocher Studios. She is making an animation film based on her father Rajnikanth. The film titled 'Sulthan the Warrior' is now in an advanced stage.
Soundarya is now keen to make regular films in Kollywood as well as Tollywood. She has signed up Ajit for a Tamil film. She has now entered into an agreement with Warner Brothers to produce a series of films in Telugu.
Soundarya will make her debut in Tollywood with a film starring Mahesh Babu as hero. Puri Jagannath will direct this film. The film will be a sequel to the blockbuster movie Pokiri. It is a known news and the reports say that the budget for this tri-lingual film will be around 60 crore. That shows it's more expensive than Rajni Kanth's 'Sivaji' and 'Dasavataram'.

Hero Mahesh babu’s Athidhi was released 6 months back. His next film shoot is yet to begin; lack of script might be the reason for this delay in Mahesh’s next film.
Now everything set, Jalsa director Trivikram will sit on the Mahesh Babu’s next film. He is free from Jalsa now.
The film will begin to roll from this month April; Matala Matrikudu Trivikram is working second time with Mahesh after hit film Athadu.
Trivikram is going to title his next film as Varudu- vadhuvu kaavalenu for Mahesh Babu’s next film.

Sneha Ullal made her debut into films through ‘Lucky’. She is almost looks alike Miss World Aiswarya Rai (only when she wears the contact lenses, of course). This look turned an asset for her. But for this, there is nothing special in her as she could neither perform so well nor has a great glamour. Later, she entered the Tollywood through ‘Ullasamgaa Utsahamgaa…’ directed by Karunakaran. The Telugu producers, who don’t know anything about her, gave her heavy respect as she came from the Bollywood. Believing that she was getting so much response from them because she is a look alike of Aiswarya Rai, she started behaving in a proud manner and is reportedly troubling many producers.
Here are some excerpts. When the shooting was to begin at 11 am, she will reach the spot by 10 am, but doesn’t come before the camera till 2.30 pm. However, she keeps demanding imported cool drinks and beers. She also demands a suit in Taj Residency for her stay. Even after she gets ready for the shot, when everything is set, she removes her contact lenses and takes her own time to reuse them. At times, she herself advise a change in the scene to the director. There are instances where she herself says cut to the scene instead of director to correct or touch-up her make-up. The producers who were making films with her allege that their heroine goes by auto for a shooting in Mumbai on her own, but keeps demanding an AC car in Hyderabad. They say that she is harassing them like anything. Let us wait and watch how long this kind of games would continue.

Mahesh Babu, the prince of Tollywood is gearing up to entertain his ardent fans with the upcoming ‘Varudu’. Trivikram Srinivas’s ‘Athadu’ was a super hit for Mahesh which was a slick, action entertainer in pure prince style. Followed by the outstanding technical wonder, the duo is all set to ‘GO’ after a long wait, on 18th with this new film.
Singanamala Ramesh will be producing the film on a high caliber to cope up with Mahesh Babu’s image on Kanakarathna Movies banner. The shooting is being said to kick on from Hyderabad and later move on to Rajasthan for a lengthy schedule.
Well acquainted news is Parvathi Melton shares screen space with Mahesh. Trivial scoop is Mahesh Babu’s wife Namratha will design the costumes for the heroine and look after the make-up for the artists. As it has been officially confirmed now, everyone eagerly awaits ‘Varudu’ to begin shooting and arrive in time to appease the starved fans of Mahesh Babu.

It‘s customary for two stars to be pitched against one another in real life whenever they are paired on screen.The last time we heard murmurs of discontent was when Bipasha and Deepika apparently couldn‘t stand one another while shooting Bachna Ae Haseenon.
But John and Abhishek get along like a house on fire. To their regret they had to shoot a music video for Dostana separately.
Producer Karan Johar who just landed in Mumbai after two weeks of location hunting in Los Angeles says the song Maa da ladla was shot during his absence. "I left it entirely to my director Tarun Mansukhani and to the choreographer Feroz (who‘s Farah Khan‘s assistant for ten years). So you‘ll have to ask Tarun what happened."
Tarun Mansukhani has his own explanation for why Abhishek and John shot the song separately.
"I deliberately didn‘t shoot the song with John and Abhishek together. I wanted at least this one song Maa da ladla to look different from the rest of the film where they‘re constantly together, fooling around, chumming it up. They shot individually, so the masti of the rest of the movie was missing on the sets."
Tarun trails off sadly, and then perks up. "The last shooting before this was for Desi girl where all of us were together. It was so much fun."
The Maa da ladla song was shot on 15, 16 and 17 October at Filmistan studios and onlookers watched Abhishek and John arrive on separate days.
"This is a music video which we‘ll use for promotion and probably for the end titles, "explains Tarun.
Says Abhishek, "It was wonderful to shoot with John Abraham again after Dhoom. It was fun on the sets because we were all friends."
Adds John, "Abhishek is not co-star or colleague. He‘s a friend. I dote on him. I love him to death. We never compete. We complement each other in Dostana. We share a great chemistry. Abhishek and I are a couple in the film."

But now, it is not her figure but her feelings that are being scanned. We are talking about the dusky sex kitten Celina Jaitly and lately she is being watched and talked about over her possibly close association with Tusshar Kapoor, son of the legendary Jeetendra. Incidentally, both of them are coming together for the complete comedy entertainer 'Golmaal Returns' that also has Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead.
